The Kingdom in 1st Century Christianity
The first three centuries of Christianity were nothing like today’s Christian culture.
They were a functioning Kingdom with a King and a borderless domain. They were:
- Servants, not theologians
- Citizens, not members
- A nation, not a church
- A kingdom, not a theology
- A government, not a religion
- Followers, not lawyers
Nothing in our present Christian culture matches the early followers of Jesus. The imitation religion we practice today is just a shadow of the power and majesty that the Christians of the first three centuries enjoyed.
